MEET TAL
Founder · Designer · Maker
Hi, I'm Tal.I'm a textile designer, a knitting expert, and the person making every piece you see on this site — by hand, in my studio in Tel Aviv.I'm also a little stubborn. That part matters.
The Question -A few years ago, I kept asking myself the same thing: What if leather could move? Leather is beautiful, but it's also rigid. It sits flat. It doesn't drape, it doesn't flow, it doesn't do what fabric does. Everyone told me leather and crochet don't go together. So obviously, I had to try.
The Cord -The first step was the material itself. Regular leather strips weren't going to work, they'd snap, twist, lose shape. So I developed my own leather cords, designed specifically for crochet.
Soft enough to knot, strong enough to hold. Made from offcuts and surplus leather that would otherwise go to waste. Once I had the cord, I had everything.
How I Work- Today, every PROVE'M WRONG piece is hand-crocheted by me — start to finish — only after you place your order. No stock. No samples sitting on shelves. No "just in case" inventory. The bag in your hands didn't exist before you ordered it. It takes me 10-14 days to make one bag.
That time is not a drawback. It's the entire point.
Forever Pieces
I don't design for seasons. I don't chase trends. I'm not interested in making a lot of things — I'm interested in making each thing matter. PROVE'M WRONG is for people who value intention over excess. Craft over noise. Presence over hype.If that sounds like you — you're already one of us.
Welcome to the gang.I

QUICK QUESTIONS
Why the name "PROVE'M WRONG"?
Because everyone said leather can't be crocheted.
That it won't hold. That it won't move. So I made
it my mission to prove them wrong — and somewhere
along the way, that became the brand.
Why crochet, specifically?
Because it's the slowest, most intimate way to make
something. Every stitch is a decision. Every piece
carries my hands.
Where do you work?
A small studio in Tel Aviv. Just me, my tools,
spools of leather cord, and a lot of natural light.
Who do you make for?
Anyone who'd rather own one piece they love for
twenty years than twenty pieces they forget about
in twenty months.
